Icon tutorial
This tutorial was requested by [info]subtle__sarcasm. Actually it is my first tutorial I wrote in english and my english isn't the best, so if you find faults you can keep them *g*

Adobe Photoshop 7.0



For the tutorial I used this screencap from VMCaps.com.



Step 01:
First of all: Crop your image (100x100 px)



Step 02:
Sharpen it once (Filters >>> Sharpen >>> Sharpen)



Step 03:
Now use the Smudge Tool (R) (round brush, 5px ; 12%). Go over her face and her hand and fingers (be careful with the contours!!! Don't smooth it all!)



Step 04:
Now you have your regular base.
Duplicate it and set the duplicated base to "Screen" at 100%.



Step 05:
Create a new and empty layer. Floodfill it with #F3D2A3 (or take this layer without creating a new one). Set the layer to "Multiply" at 49%.



Step 06:
Go to Layers >>> New Adjustment Layer >>> Selective Color. Here are my settings.



Step 07:
Looks creepy, huh?!
Duplicate your Base again put it on top and set it to "Screen" at 100%.



Step 08:
Create another new and empty layer. Floodfill it with #ADF5D2 (or take this layer without creating a new one). Set this layer to "Color Burn" at 83%.



Step 09:
Duplicate the layer from "Step 05" and put it on top an put the opacity to 82%.

sooo, hab zwar nur noch 3 std zu pennen bevor ich wieder zu uni muss, aber wollt dir noch kurz 2 icons zeigen, die ihre existenz deinem tollen tutorial zu verdanken haben ;)

WHeee, bin gerade wieder zurück gekommen und die Icons sind einfach supi geworden. Das zweite ist der Hammer und mit der Schärfe stimmt auch alles!! :P

Okay, so this was the best I could do after one year of taking German.

Awww, that's so sweet of you!
Though there are a few faults I can understand what you're trying to say. And I think German isn't easy to learn...
Actually it's more like:
Großartiges Tutorial, es gefällt mir sehr gut. Meine Icons sind wirklich gut gelungen aufgrund deines Tutorial. Vielen Dank...
But after just one year I think it's very good. Oh and we don't translate Icon, Wallpaper or Fanart, it's the same, we don't have own words for these things *g*
